During the academic year 2006/2007 Sara has been studying for a Translation & Interpretation degree. This has included courses covering the Civilization of English speaking Countries. The content material includes an analysis of the main political, social and economic themes from the outbreak of the second world war to the present. The main themes covered include; the impact of the war , special relationship – USA, aspects of multi cultural Britain, the role of class, immigration & race relations and devolution.
Throughout the course Sara´s participation and interest have been excellent. Her material has always been very well researched and carefully and thoughtfully delivered. She has been one of the most important contributors to the class.
Her presentation project on the “cultural impact of the Sixties in Britain” reflected a thoughtful and mature level of understanding and excellent level of expression. During the year she has demonstrated excellent team working skills. Her communication skills are amongst the best in her group.
Sara achieved a very high overall mark in both the continuous assessment and final written exams in this course. She came second out of a group of 41.
